Product Description

Ebonite was developed by Charles Goodyear and patented in 1844, it is considered to be the ancestor of modern plastics.  The material is natural rubber which has been vulanized under high pressure and heat.  Some of the earliest ink reserve fountain pens were made of Ebonite, also know as Hard Rubber.  This pen is made from modern, German manufactured Ebonite.   This pen from the La Salle Series is rodium plated with titanium gold plated accents.  It features a #6 nib and egronomic grip for comfortable and smooth writing.  The cap is threaded and can be posted while writing.  Weight 1.9 ounces, legnth 5.5 inches.  Walnut gift boxes are available.
