We do not use any wood that is listed in the CITES Appendices or the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Most of our wood pens are made from stabilized wood for durability and a consistent finish. All wood pens are identified by the species of wood they are made from.
We make antler pens from deer. elk, moose and caribou antlers. All are made from naturally occuring annual sheds. With both wood and antler there is a great deal of variation form from one piece of the same specis to the next, even within the same rack of antler there can be significant variation. We select the most interesting pieces of antler or wood to make the most attractive pens.
