This pencil is made from authentic elk antler.  Elk, like all antler is subject to great variation in color from streaks of black to nearly white. No two are alike because the color varies with the elk's age and diet but they are all distinctive and beautiful.  The one you receive will probably vary somewhat from the one that is pictured.  

The mechanial parts and chrome plated components are long lasting and dependable.  All of our Lamar Mechanical Pencils use .07 leads.  The lead advances with the push of the click plunger on the back of the pencil.  To retract the lead, push and hold the plunger, then manually push the lead back into the mechanism.    A convenient eraser is concealed under the plunger.  Put this pencil with an elk antler pen and include one of our walnut presentation boxes for a Pen & Pencil set that makes an outstanding gift.

This pencil comfortably fits our standard glass pen holders and we think it looks great in this brown glass pen holder, the black, tan and hunter green pen holder or even the aqua and brown holder.
