All of our sketch pencils use 5.6 mm drawing leads. Push down on the plunger on the top of the pen and the collet mechanism on the other end of the pen opens so that leads can slide in our out. Push down and hold and the lead will fall out entirely if it is point down, so it is best to hold it just above your hand or drawing paper so it slides out just as far as you would like.

The leads we use and sell are CretaColor brand, you can find them at art stores or buy them directly from us.
